I. Instrument Overview:

Liquid mass flowmeter has two parallel U-shaped vibration tubes inside the sensor, with a driving coil in the middle and pick-up coils at both ends, the flowmeter directly measures the mass flow rate of the medium passing through the flowmeter, and it can also measure the density of the medium and indirectly measure the temperature of the medium. Because of its excellent performance, so that its measurement accuracy is high, low requirements on the fluid state, small pressure loss. A variety of specifications of the instrument can be directly obtained by measuring the mass flow of liquid or slurry, volume flow, density, temperature, without manual calculation or estimation.


Can solve the difficult to measure the fluid measurement problems, such as high temperature, low temperature, high pressure, high viscosity, small flow, temperature and pressure fluctuations, the user requires a fast response time, accuracy requirements of high fluid measurement problems. At the same time the flowmeter can be used as a density meter, do not need to convert the temperature, pressure, density, viscosity and other corrective compensation.

Second, the structure principle:

1, principle:

The structure of the liquid mass flow meter is a double-bend structure, the measurement principle is to detect the mass flow in the pipeline by measuring the role of the double-bend up. In the industrial production process, it is sometimes necessary to measure the mass flow rate of the fluid, such as chemical reaction of the material balance, heat balance, batching, etc., all need to measure the mass flow rate of the fluid. Mass flow refers to the unit time, the flow through the closed pipe cross-section at the mass of the fluid. Instruments used to measure mass flow rate collectively referred to as mass flow meter.

2, structure:

Mass flow meter by the sensor, transmitter and digital indication accumulator and other three parts. Sensor by the sensing tube, electromagnetic drive, and electromagnetic detector three parts. The electromagnetic driver makes the sensor vibrate at its intrinsic frequency, and the introduction of the flow makes a kind of distortion under the action of the u-shaped sensor, which produces a phase difference between its left and right sides, which is proportional to the mass flow rate. Electromagnetic monitor to the phase difference into the corresponding level signal sent to the transmitter, after filtering, integration, amplification and other power processing. After filtering, integrating, amplifying and other power processing, the signal is transformed into a 4-20mA analog signal proportional to the quality and a certain range of frequency signals in two forms of output.

It is mainly used to measure the mass flow rate and total amount of media, density, at the same time, it can also measure the volume flow rate and total amount of media temperature, water content, alcohol alcohol, mixing the concentration of two more homogeneous liquids, raw material ratios in the process, and so on. V. Main functions:

1, measurement function

Can directly measure the instantaneous mass flow rate of liquid medium, cumulative mass total, volume flow rate, volume total, temperature, density, concentration of two-component liquid. It can display, output, store and transmit remotely; modify flowmeter parameters.

2、Current output

There is a current signal output function, the current output is 4mA~20mA, which can meet the demand of industrial instrument control.

Seven, installation requirements:

Mass flowmeter is a high-precision measuring instruments, in order to ensure the accuracy of measurement, need to ensure the installation of environmental requirements:

1, the sensor (primary meter) and transmitter (secondary meter) shall not be installed in the area of strong magnetic interference, otherwise it will affect the circuit signal, thus affecting the measurement accuracy;

2, the sensor (primary meter) installed in the pipeline can not have other vibration interference;

3, the need to be installed in outdoor situations, pay attention to the zui high and zui low ambient temperature, should consider the wind and rain measures to avoid wind and rain, in order to improve the working life of the flowmeter;

4, intrinsically safe flowmeter transmitter (secondary meter) should be placed in a safe area or a suitable control room;

5, intrinsically safe flowmeter sensor (primary meter) and transmitter (secondary meter) is connected by ten-core shielded cable;

VIII. Installation methods and precautions:

1, horizontal pipeline positive installation

The main body facing down, measuring liquids, the outlet must be higher than 0.8 meters;

2、Body facing upward installed upside down

Self-emptying, measurement of solid-containing slurry, the outlet must be higher than the flowmeter zui high point of more than 0.8 meters;

3、Flag type installation (measurement and installation)

Self-emptying, measuring liquid or slurry, the liquid must flow from bottom to top.

Nine, the flowmeter troubleshooting:

In general, there will be no failure, failure does not matter, carefully analyze the reasons will enable the problem to be solved, such as working conditions have not changed, there is no overgassing, is not just calibrated back to use, etc., the following briefly describes a few kinds of faults and processing:

1, hardware failure:

If there is a large error, the accumulator display is not bright or not value-added, the display blank bit and other phenomena, the reasons:

a. Installation is not standardized, can directly lead to zero drift of the flow meter, such as mass flow meter installed in the pump outlet closer, the sensor support strength is not enough to connect the flange welding improperly produce stress signals, the cable by electromagnetic interference.

b. Wiring problems

If there is a display does not light phenomenon, should check the totalizer power supply line, if there is a fuse is burned, should confirm the input voltage and standard voltage nominal value, AC and DC form is consistent. And if there is an accumulator does not increase with the flow, should check the accumulator wiring, if the accumulator is equipped with forward/reverse program, should check the flowmeter wiring, because the flowmeter wiring is incorrect, will make the accumulator in the reverse flow does not increment.

c. Changes in process media

If the measurement medium appears to clip gas, gasification or two-phase flow and other phenomena, the transmitter will appear on the alarm display, in serious cases, the sensor stops working.

d. Transmitter failure.

e. Sensor failure.

f. Pipe blowing problems.

2, software problems:

For just after the calibration of the flowmeter before installation and use must pay attention to the current conditions of the zero calibration, must ensure that the flowmeter is full of media after the closure of both ends of the shut-off valve in order to zero calibration, the specific method has a variety of panel operation, the hand operator and the use of ProLink 鈪 software.
