The temperature controller (thermostat) of the electric heat tracing belt is a key part in the thermal insulation system of the electric heat tracing belt. When precise temperature control is required on site or constant power electric heat tracing belt is used, the temperature controller of the electric heat tracing belt must be used to achieve it, which not only meets the requirements of on-site use, but also protects the overload of the electric heat tracing belt and the power-saving function.


Instructions for the use of electric heating belt thermostat:


1. Open the lid of the electric heating belt thermostat, unscrew the socket, and pass the cables in the inlet box through the socket, pressure ring, and rubber sealing ring into the wiring chamber.


2. In a single-phase system with an operating voltage of 220V, 380v or 110V, one core wire in the inlet and outlet lines will be connected to the “T1” and ”T2” terminals respectively; the remaining one inlet box and one outlet line will be connected to the ”shorted“ line column, then tighten the socket and connect the terminal cover screws.


3. Open the lid of the temperature adjustment box of the electric heating belt, align the medium process temperature number on the knob with the small red reference point on the core belt, and then tighten the lid screws.


4. Fix the box seat with a pipe card to the appropriate part of the pipe (generally attached to the power junction box of the electric heat tracing belt), and lay the temperature measuring probe with heat-sensitive tape on the surface of the pipe under test, and the temperature-sensing package with aluminum foil tape close to the part of the pipe where the temperature is measured, and tie it firmly with heat-sensitive tape. The installation site of the temperature-sensing probe should be kept away from the electric heat tracing belt to prevent malfunction.


5. The power cord is connected to the power grid, and the control line is connected to the electric heating belt through the explosion-proof power junction box, and the detection is correct.

Product usage and maintenance:


*Product use and maintenance: Open the junction box cover, unscrew the junction plug, thread the incoming and outgoing cables through their respective junction plugs, and tighten the junction box cover.


*Connect the cable according to the wiring diagram inside the wiring chamber, tighten the cable connector, and tighten the junction box cover.


*Open the outer cover of the temperature adjustment box, adjust the temperature to the desired control temperature, and then tighten the outer cover.


*Fix the base of the thermostat in the appropriate position with a clamp, and tightly attach the temperature control probe to the tested temperature area.


*Connect the control output line to the power box cavity and connect it to the electric heating strip inside the cavity. Connect the temperature controller input line to the power grid. After checking for accuracy, power can be sent to work.


*The temperature control probe can only be installed horizontally or vertically, otherwise temperature instability may occur.


*If the junction box is deformed, cracked, or damaged, it should be stopped from use and replaced with a new one.
